Description
We are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to join our leadership team and drive operational excellence as we scale internationally. This is a newly created role that will be instrumental in supporting our growth trajectory and maintaining operational efficiency. Please note that you have to be able to speak Hungarian, be located in Budapest and work 40 hours a week. Start date is ASAP.
Please note that you will report to the CEO (and leadership team) and assistant tasks will be managed by an Executive assistant. Your job will include managing his/her work.
Strategic Operations Management
- Support leadership in executing international expansion strategies from an operational perspective, with a particular focus on facilitating US market entry.
- Design and implement scalable operational processes across multiple geographies
- Drive operational efficiency and excellence through process improvement and automation initiatives
- Oversee financial planning and analysis, ensuring sustainable growth
Administrative & Financial Management
- Oversee company finances, by supporting accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
- Oversee all administrative functions, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- Develop and maintain relationships with legal counsel and oversee and support all legal matters
- Lead the implementation of operational automation tools and systems
- Optimise Excel-based and Notion-based reporting and analytics systems
Team & Event Management
- Coordinate and execute both client-facing and internal team events
- Manage office operations, including supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
- Oversee travel arrangements and calendar management for key team members
- Build and maintain a positive company culture across international locations
Infrastructure Development
- Manage the suppliers who maintain the IT infrastructure (including daily IT operations and cybersecurity efforts)
- Implement systems and processes for efficient cross-border operations
- Manage relationships with external service providers and partners
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations
WHAT WE NEED
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of operational leadership experience, preferably in consulting or professional services
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business or related fields, MSc degree is an advantage
- Track record of scaling operations internationally is an advantage
- Strong financial acumen and experience with financial planning and analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with process automation
- Experience managing legal and compliance matters (across multiple jurisdictions is an advantage)
- Excellent project management and event planning capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English and Hungarian is required; additional European languages are an advantage
